COMPANY PROFILE

Background to AirBody New Zealand

The joint directors of AirBody NZ are Peter Martel (a qualified electrician) and Stuart Goudie (importer of building products). Both have been involved in their respective industries for longer than they care to remember. Both have had lengthy experience in dealing with the elderly, injured, the frail & infirmed and each assisting with their elderly mothers/fathers in rest homes and home care plus dealing with injuries resulting from falls.

The idea of a whole body dryer came to Stuart one particularly cold morning while exiting the shower. It occurred to him why wasn’t there some form of drying unit that didn’t involve stepping from a hot shower into a cold bathroom with a normally slippery bathroom floor? His first inclination was it would necessitate a separate cubicle or area away from the shower –but no, when he began investigating the idea he came upon the AirBody Dryer!!

The airBody Dryer is actually installed in the actual SHOWER CUBICLE

At this stage Peter became involved to ensure the dryer complied with all NZ & Aust electrical regulations. Homesafe were consulted and by incorporating their requirements the AirBody Dryer was given the OK for NZ and Aust bathrooms.

We then applied for and were granted total exclusivity for the NZ and Australian markets by AirBody UK.

Our policy now is to provide NZ, & Aust bathrooms, with this amazing innovation, which will ensure consumers, enjoy a safe/ healthy and hygienic bathroom environment.

In addition to drying oneself, the dryer provides as pleasant experience as showering or bathing itself. Compare this with the traditional present method of drying off with a coarse towel that may possibly be damp and therefore unhygienic, not to mention the possible danger of falling or pain in the case of post- operative condition or sufferers of arthritis.

This total Air Body Dryer however is the answer for young and old in general desiring a superior method of drying - after all what could be more pleasant after a hot shower than to be dried off by a circulating body of surrounding warm air.

The dryer is now available in New Zealand and Australia for the first time after 23 years of development and successful trials in The UK /USA and Central Europe. Strokes, M.S. recovering from operations & many other applications are available at the touch of a button, Patients recovering at home will not need assistance from home help calling every day to assist in showering, and the patient can wash & dry themselves at no cost to the Tax payer. Savings per year to Hospitals would be enormous.
